In their words

I don’t participate in review boards. These are excerpts from private notes, shared with permission.

“I know you don’t take reviews, but can I write one anywhere? I’d really like to.”

“I was in a bit of a mood the other day, but I left feeling confident, content, and present…

I appreciated that you noted a few details of our last date and brought things that made this time even more enjoyable.

Before I was mostly impressed by your résumé and portfolio. This time I found myself equally impressed by your emotional intelligence and perspective. I had some unintentionally blunt questions and comments you handled deftly.

It would be nice to have more people in my life with some of the qualities you embody.”

“I mostly write fact-based fiction, not really poetry.  But you did inspire me to write this:

She was a vision, alright.

A soft glow that approached in the night,

Otherwise dark and dangerous.

She was dangerous herself,

But in only the best of ways!

For in her eyes and her arms

All was safe and warm

If only for a moment, before

The night turned dark and dangerous

Once more.”
