ABOUT YOU
I have a weakness for people who know far too much about something.
Maybe it’s your work, architecture, markets, history, medicine, engineering, wine, or some obscure subject I know nothing about yet. I’m drawn to men who are accomplished but still curious, perhaps a little obsessive, and capable of laughing at themselves.
I appreciate confidence without arrogance, intelligence without performance, and people who understand that consideration and good manners never go out of style.
I don’t expect us to be interested in all the same things. In fact, I rather like being introduced to a world I know nothing about. What matters to me is curiosity: yours about the world, and ours about one another.
About Me
My interests tend to wander through psychology, cities, relationships, culture, and the strange ways people organize their lives.
My academic and professional background has given me a lasting fascination with human behavior. I’m interested in what people notice, what makes them light up, and what they almost say.
I’m equally drawn to ideas as I am sensation. I love an unexpectedly good conversation, beautiful buildings, dancing, esoteric books I can argue with, dinner that lasts much longer than planned, someone’s hand finding mine, and those long hugs neither person is particularly eager to end.
I’m a romantic against my better judgment, and much more interested in finding chemistry than perfection. I can be serious about serious things, but I also love irreverence, teasing, and the peculiar intimacy of laughing with someone until neither of you remembers what started it.
ABOUT US
My favorite dates have room to breathe.
Dinner somewhere we actually can hear each other. A museum followed by an unexpected detour. Wandering through a city with nowhere urgent to be. Staying in and discovering that a conversation we expected to last twenty minutes has somehow consumed several hours.
For me, intimacy begins well before anyone touches anyone. It grows out of attention, humor, trust, and curiosity.
The experiences I remember most are the ones in which attraction and conversation become difficult to separate and when you leave feeling that you were not simply entertained for a time, but genuinely met.
